Post-Tensioned Concrete construction is a system that uses various strands of stressed steel tendons/cables that are placed throughout a concrete slab for reinforcement. These tendons offer enhanced structural support that allow concrete to be placed at thinner depths and allow for larger spans between supporting beams or columns.
Post Tension Slab Repair
Post-tension concrete cables are a group of cable tendons that are placed within the concrete, providing lateral compression strength. These cables are stressed to administer additional stability to the concrete, which for one application, allows it to be elevated.
Prior to the concrete being poured, these tendons are placed in groups throughout the slab. Once the concrete is placed and cured, these tendons are then stressed with a special device to generate tension in the slab and support suspended concrete sections.
